Former Pakistan captain, Moin Khan believes that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee has done a good job in selecting the squad for the 2019 International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup.
In a recent interview, the former wicket-keeper batsman stated that with the inclusion of bowlers like Wahab Riaz, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Amir, Pakistan’s bowling line up is now stronger than before. Moreover, he believes that the selection of Amir was the right decision as he is an experienced player.
“Amir is a senior player. He does not need to prove himself. He does not have to prove anything to be in the side. Although his recent form is not that great, I think in English conditions he will be successful. The World Cup is the kind of tournament where you need your senior players,” Moin said.
Moin further stated that the World Cup provides a good opportunity for Amir to cement a place in the side but if he doesn’t perform, then he will create a spot for other players to fill.
