American comedian roasts BCCI and its monopoly

Renowned American comedian Hasan Minhaj has taken a jibe at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as he pointed out the monopoly of the board at the international level which has halted the spread of cricket in the world.

In his hit TV show Patriot Act, Hasan criticized the BCCI for reducing the number of teams in the World Cup as it has always preferred its own revenues ahead of the overall interest of the game.

He also pointed out the monopoly of the BCCI which has not only halted the inclusion of more teams but has also served as means to cut the revenue share of each member country of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Moreover, he interviewed former chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Lalit Modi who revealed that the BCCI is currently controlling the ICC and the war for more power is destroying cricket globally.
