The Australian cricket team has come back to its own in recent months after being down and out due to the sudden changes the team had to go through in the last year. The return of senior players and series victories against Pakistan and India has given them a lot of confidence.
Australian spin legend Shane Warne feels that the Aussies could not be written off from the title race this year as they have started to do really well in limited overs cricket which is why they are among the contenders.
"I think everybody wrote Australia off because they were pretty ordinary and played some poor cricket over the last 12 months, but over the last couple of months, the ODI team has found its belief. They have started to think like all the Aussie sides of yesteryears and they think they can win it from anywhere. And you can't manufacture that. You have to do it a few times,” he said.
