Shoaib Akhtar backs Wahab’s inclusion in Pakistan’s World Cup team

While the reinstallation of senior cricketer Wahab Riaz didn’t went down well with many cricket pundits, the fierce pacemen didn’t harm his chances of making it to the final eleven. In the warm-up game against Afghanistan, Wahab clearly looked a cut above everyone else in death overs as his pace and reverse swing joined hands to make life tough for all the Afghan batters.

Seeing the Lahore born recording an efficient bowling outing jubilated the former Pakistan’s speedster Shoaib Akhtar who wanted Wahab in the World Cup squad right from the word go. The cricketer turned analyst recently reflected on the left-arm quick as he added that Wahab’s inclusion in Pakistan team boosts the pace battery.

Calling it a right move, the 43-year old has backed Wahab Riaz to continue his good run in the World Cup tournaments as Pakistan is set to begin their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 campaign on May 31 against West Indies. Moreover, the Rawalpindi born advised the unit to keep calm and enjoy the moment rather than taking pressure.
