Pakistan bowlers have faced a lot of criticism lately, owing to their abysmal showing against England in the 5-match ODI series. Fans and experts complained about the inappropriate lengths opted by the seamers, and the paucity of yorkers throughout Pakistan’s bowling performances.
This has led to the Pakistan bowling attack’s renewed focus on hitting the yorker lengths efficiently. With the flat nature of the surfaces currently in place in England and Wales, the pacers are looking to take the pitch out of the equation by bowling full.
“Yorker is a weapon which we can use anywhere, in any condition and at any stage of the game, either with new ball or old ball,” right-arm pacer Hasan Ali said recently in an interview.
Pakistan will be heavily relying on their fast bowling lineup during the World Cup, to employ reverse swing and trouble opposing batsmen.
