Rohit calls winning World Cup his ‘ultimate dream’

After winning a plethora of Indian Premier League (IPL) titles, India’s enterprising player Rohit Sharma has set his eyes on winning the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament. Known as ‘Hitman’, the opening batsman will be holding key to India’s journey in the forthcoming mega-event scheduled to get underway from May 30 in England and Wales.

In the last edition of the tournament, the 32-year old amassed 330 runs in 8 matches at 47.14. Now, Rohit is eager to do more of the same as he added that winning the World Cup event sits as his ultimate dream. India was knocked down by Australia in last World Cup’s semi-final. However, knowing the strength and quality of this Indian team, he might see his wish getting fulfilled.

“It is my ultimate dream. Any kid growing up begins to nurture dreams in whatever sphere of life he or she aspires for. As a cricketer, growing up, the idea of playing in a World Cup, to be part of that team, to win it – that’s the fairytale everyone dreams about. Mine is same,” said by Maharashtra born as he revealed his yearning regarding winning the title of the biggest cricket gala.
