Pakistan Chief Selector, Inzamam-ul-Haq has travelled to England and is with the World Cup squad ahead of their tournament opener against West Indies. The 49-year-old was seen providing tips to Pakistan batsmen during their training session at Nottingham.
However, according to the sources, Inzamam will take part in selecting the playing XI for Pakistan during the World Cup. The role of the selection committee is usually limited to selecting the initial 15-member squad for the World Cup but PCB has given authority to Chief Selector alongside Head Coach, Mickey Arthur and Sarfaraz Ahmed.
Recently, the Pakistan Cricket Board came out in support of Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mickey Arthur following the news regarding that they will be removed from their positions after the World Cup. Pakistan will kick off their pursuit to win mega-event against the West Indies on 31st May.
