Liam Plunkett; world’s best middle overs bowler

The game of cricket, especially ODI cricket, has changed drastically in the last decade or so after the introduction of 2 balls from both ends which has given batsmen the edge over the bowlers who have to work extremely hard to get someone out now.

England’s Liam Plunkett has been the most prolific bowler for England in the middle overs phase of ODI cricket as he has taken 48 wickets since the last World Cup in 2015 (49 after the World Cup opener against the Proteas) which is the most by any bowler in that time period.

The English pacer is followed by Pakistan’s Hasan Ali in the list as he has taken 45 wickets in the same time span and he is succeeded by Kagiso Rabada (38 wickets), Andile Phehlukwayo (36 wickets), and Gulbadin Naib (33 wickets).
