ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament is in full swing as two unpredictable teams – West Indies and Pakistan – opened their World Cup campaign against each other. While these are early days in the mega-event but former cricketers aren’t shying away to give their semi-finalists for the running edition of the World Cup.
On the sidelines of the opening party of the biggest cricket gala, it was the turn of former English cricketer Kevin Pietersen to jump on the bandwagon. The 38-year old believes that England, India and Australia are the three safest picks to make it to the final-four of the competition.
Coming to the last spot, the enterprising cricketer added that it’s a face-off between West Indies and Pakistan. However, the Natal born admitted that he’ll pick West Indies ahead of Pakistan as the Caribbean squad contains a lot of firepower.
Highlighting the prowess of players like Chris Gayle and Andre Russell, the cricketer turned commentator added that West Indies cannot be taken lightly at all. Moreover, he reflected on English conditions and tracks as Pietersen foresees massive scores if weather stays good throughout the 10-team competition.
