The Pakistan cricket team has started off its World Cup campaign in a disappointing manner as they were annihilated at the hands of the West Indies bowling in Trent Bridge on Friday. The green shirts had no answer to the short ball lengths of the Windies bowlers who kept on exploiting that weakness.
Many experts had called Pakistan one of the top contenders for the title this year as they have done reasonably well since their arrival in England about a month ago, however, opinions might start to change after their opening game.
Nonetheless, former English all-rounder Ravi Bopara feels that Pakistan would make it to the semi-finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as he gave three definite names for the knockout stage. He also thinks that India and England would be the other two teams who would make it through the first stage while he is still not sure about the 4th team yet.
