Pakistan have been hammered in their opening game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 by West Indies at Trent Bridge. The green shirts just managed 105 runs in front of the nasty short-pitched bowling of the opposition bowlers, thus, giving away wickets on such deliveries.
The whole game only had disappointments for the Pakistan team and fans as they were outclassed in every department, however, the only positive for the green shirts was the bowling performance of pacer Mohammad Amir who has gotten into wickets at the start of the tournament.
After being out of form for a while, Amir made a strong impression in his first ever World Cup game as he took 3 wickets for 26 runs in his 6 overs. He also looked in good rhythm as he was extracting a little bit of movement off the surface along with bowling some attacking lines and changing things up.
