Andre Russell has the reputation in world cricket of being a hard hitter but the all-rounder proved that he has a lot more to offer than the brute power of hitting sixes with ease. Against Pakistan, the all-rounder produced a fiery spell of bowling which Pakistani batsmen had no answer.
Russell consistently touched 90 mph with the ball, bowling back-to-back bouncers to Pakistani batsmen. He sent big-hitting left-hander Fakhar Zaman to the pavilion with a sensational short delivery before accounting for Haris Sohail soon after.
A barrage of short-pitched deliveries earned Russell figures of 2 for 4 and broke the bone of the Pakistani batting inside the first ten overs of the game. It wasn't just Russell who troubled the Pakistani batsmen with his bouncer, as Oshane Thomas soon followed up with the same strategy.
