South Africa's ordinary performance sets up new suspense in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as they were thrashed by Bangladesh Cricket team in a high-voltage encounter at the Oval.
South Africa's former players raised the questions about the performance and the team selection. Herschelle Gibbs, the former Proteas batsman, feels that South Africa is short of a left-arm quick.
"We better have one left-arm quick before the next World Cup. Our attack lacks variety as I have said before", Gibbs added. South Africa does not have a left-arm quick in their World Cup squad. They did not have much options in this department of late as well.
Beuran Hendricks, the left-arm fast medium bowler played against Pakistan in the ODI series recently but his performances were not enough to get him into the World Cup squad.
