If the stakes were not already high enough, South Africa fast-bowler Kagiso Rabada has made sure that they are now with his comments on India captain as he called Virat Kohli “immature” and someone who cannot take abuses.
The two share a history from the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Delhi Capitals earlier this year. After dispatching a delivery from Rabada to the boundary, Kohli gave the pacer some choice words.
The Proteas bowler said that while Kohli can dish out abuse, he can't receive it without getting angry, which reflects immaturity on the part of the Indian skipper.
“I don’t get the guy. Maybe he does it because it gets him going, but that comes across as very immature for me. He is a phenomenal player but he can’t take the abuse. But those things can’t distract you,” Rabada said.
With already having lost two matches on the trot, the Proteas will look to get their first win of the World Cup when they lock horns with India at the Rose Bowl, Southampton on June 5.
