Australia’s premium fast-bowler, Mitchell Strac ripped apart the West Indies batting order to help his side register a 15-run win. He picked up the first five-wicket haul of this year's World Cup and in doing so, he became the fastest bowler to take 150 ODI wickets.
Starc surpassed the great Pakistan off-spinner, Saqlain Mushtaq in achieving 150 ODI wickets in 77 matches – one match quicker than Saqlain. The performance also led teammate Nathan Lyon to label Starc 'FLOAT' on Instagram, presumably an acronym for 'Fastest Left-Armer Of All Time'.
The Aussies are off to a perfect start in the World Cup, with two wins in two games. Australia will next face India on Sunday (June 9) at the Kennington Oval in London in what promises to be a cracker of a match in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019.
