After taking down South Africa in the opening game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament, the Indian captain Virat Kohli is gearing up for their next game against Australia on June 9 in the ongoing 50-over competition.
However, his domestic help back in India faced an issue regarding misuse of the drinking water. The domestic helpers of the Delhi born player were located using the drinking water to wash cars of Virat Kohli which obviously landed him in trouble. The Gurugram Municipal Corporation authorities have issued a Challan worth Rs 500 against the 30-year old cricketer.
According to the sources, the matter was reported by the neighbors of Virat Kohli who spotted cars like SUVs using drinking water to get cleaned. With north India suffering from acute water shortage, the issue was even more highlighted. Officials have also reported imposing fines on 10 other houses in the vicinity as they stated that the wastage of water would not be encouraged and everyone will have to adhere to laws by acting like responsible citizens.
