Hafeez underplays Australia threat

Pakistan’s senior all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez believes Australia is not as potent a threat as people have made it out to be. Claiming his side to be high in confidence after a close win against England, Hafeez thinks Pakistan possess the right combination to beat the defending world champions.

“Australia isn’t unbeatable. We will enter the game with high confidence, we will continue with the momentum we gained by win against England. We are ready, physically and mentally for Australia and any other opponent,” he said.

Australia suffered a loss in their third game of the tournament against India, and would be looking to make amends as they lock horns with Pakistan in Taunton.

“I will not leave any stone unturned in play my part,” the veteran all-rounder emphasized, who was recently at the helm of Pakistan’s victory over England where he top-scored with 84.
