Gulbadin Naib shares an update about Rashid Khan’s injury

Afghanistan’s losing run continued in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament as they were thumped by New Zealand. This wasn’t just the only concern as Afghanistan’s premier spinner Rashid Khan suffered concussion after being hit on the head by a bouncer bowled by New Zealand’s quick Lockie Ferguson. This also forced the spin wizard to stay off the field during Kiwis’ batting.

However, Afghanistan camp has confirmed that their gun player is now feeling much better as they are confident about Rashid playing the next game against South Africa on June 15 at Cardiff. Skipper Gulbadin Naib while giving an update on the injury of the 20-year old cricketer added that doctor advised Rashid to take some rest but he sits in a good shape.

Moreover, the Logar born shared that they’ll have more tests of Rashid but the one-week long gap before their next fixture would be helpful. Losing the first three games and reeling at the bottom of table, Afghanistan is in need of some inspirational performances to turn the tables and get somewhere close to the top four positions.
