While spinner Yasir Shah has struggled badly in the white-ball cricket, the shrewd cricketer comes around as one of the biggest match winners for Pakistan in Test cricket. Claiming 203 wickets in 35 Tests at a fantastic bowling average of 28.72, the spin wizard has produced laudable displays time and again to bring many honors to the country.
For his superlative displays, the 33-year old was given the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence) on March 23 which is reckoned as the third highest civilian award in the State of Pakistan. Yasir has finally received the certificate of appreciation as he extended his gratitude towards his father for being an aspiration. In addition, the dexterous cricketer also thanked his fans for continuous support.
The Swabi born player has no plans whatsoever to rest on his laurels as he aspires to become better and better to serve the country for a long period. Yasir is set to get back in action as Pakistan will resume their Test cricket later this year.
