India’s belligerent left-handed batsman Shikhar Dhawan scored his 17th ODI hundred against Australia the other day becoming the fastest batsman to reach 1000 ODI runs in England.
The records don’t end here for the aggressive batsman as he scored his 4th ODI ton against Australia and 6th overall in the ICC tournaments.
The century against Australia was Shikhar’s third ODI ton at the Oval cricket ground. Unfortunately for India, their in-form opener has been ruled out of the ICC World Cup 2019 for at least three weeks. Dhawan suffered an injury on the thumb during his innings and he wasn’t out there in the field in the 2nd innings as well.
