Australian skipper Aaron Finch has claimed that he would love to play in Pakistan, provided he has approval from his country’s cricket board regarding the security arrangements in place. Pakistan has not hosted Australia in over 20 years but Finch believes the current air of optimism means it won’t be long before this part of history is rewritten.
“I'd love to play there. No doubt. It's such a wonderful country. You hear of stories of guys who played there in the past that said how amazing it is to play there,” he told reporters.
He also spoke fondly of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) which has seen a few Aussies in the mix as well, and stated how jam-packed stadiums were witnessed when a few of the league’s games were hosted in Pakistan. He praised the passion and love for the game that the people of Pakistan possess.
