The retirement of former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh moved cricket enthusiasts to applaud the courage and resilience of the talismanic cricketer. Like all the others, ex-Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar also shared his feelings as he carries numerous memories of playing against the Chandigarh born player.
Reviewing Yuvraj’s sensational career, the Rawalpindi born commended the abilities of a proven match winner. The Rawalpindi born went on to call Yuvraj his ‘younger brother’ as he advised the celebrated cricketer to now have kids and get into the next phase of his life. In reply, the 37-year old admitted that facing Shoaib Akhtar was one of the toughest challenges of his career. While the two cricketers shared many epic battles on the field, they still carry great mutual respect.
“You have been a rockstar, a match winner and a great younger brother. Now quickly go and have two kids. This is more important now because you haven’t had kids yet. Earlier you used to feed the bowlers, now its time to feed your kids,” said by Pakistan’s darling cricketer in a video message for Yuvraj Singh.
