Indian off-spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin has made a brave prediction about India as he believes that the Indian cricket team will dominate in the ongoing 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup as Australia did in 2003 and 2007 ICC Cricket World Cups.
“India will go on to dominate this World Cup like Australia did in 2003 and 2007," the bowler said after launching the 'Ashwin Foundation', which aims to help young cricketers at his Gen-Next Cricket Institute.
The No.2 ODI side, India has an impressive start of the tournament so far and with the wins against strong teams like South Africa and Australia, the Men in Blues has reinstated their status as hot favourites to clinch the mega-event trophy this year.
While the Indian national cricket team is busy in the ongoing Cricket World Cup, Ashwin is getting ready to return to the English County Cricket. In the ongoing season, Ashwin will serve for Nottinghamshire.
