India and Pakistan will add another chapter to their rich cricketing rivalry when the arch-rivals face-off in a World Cup 2019 league stage match in Manchester on Sunday. The hype from both sides of the borders has sky-rocketed from past few days as both nations have started to take digs at each other via cheeky television advertisements.
In a blunt assessment of the advertisements aired on both sides of the border as tasteless, Indian tennis star, Mirza took to social media and slammed the "cringe-worthy" TV advertisements hyping the much-awaited World Cup match between India and Pakistan.
A World Cup ad made by Pakistan featuring Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman lookalike hasn’t gone too well in India, while in India, there has been running an ad where an Indian supporter describes himself as Pakistan's "abbu" (father), referring to India's domination over their rivals in the World Cup.
