The charm of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament is going to get further swelled on June 16 as arch-rivals India and Pakistan are all set to lock horns against each other at Old Trafford.
Cricketing world is anxiously waiting for the jaw-dropping contest and former Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar is no exception as he shared his yearning for the forthcoming match.
Reflecting on the game, the Rawalpindi born added that losing a player of Shikhar Dhawan’s caliber would obviously give Pakistan an advantage over India as the opening batsman contains a prolific record in ICC tournaments.
The 43-year old advised the green team to bat first, if they win toss, and post a 300-plus total as he believes that Pakistani bowling is capable to defend runs even against a power-packed Indian batting line-up.
“Toss is going to play a crucial role in that mouth-watering clash. I believe Pakistan needs to bat first and post a total in excess of 300. With Shikhar Dhawan not available for the game and Pakistan’s bowling showing skills, it is not going to be an easy task for India to continue their World Cup winning streak against the green team,” said by Pakistan’s darling cricketer in a video message.
