Mohammad Amir has been in red-hot form in this World Cup, currently leading the bowling charts after taking a magnificent five-wicket haul versus Australia. Registering his best figures in ODI cricket, Amir signaled a fitting reply to his doubters as he recovered his bowling swagger.
While Amir has been doing almost all things right, the Sultan of Swing Wasim Akram reckons he is still failing to sharply bring the ball back into the right-hander.
He observed that Amir was bowling wider from the stumps, which did not allow him the angle the ball into the right-hand batsman.
“Amir was bowling away from the stumps against right-handers that's why he is struggling to bring the ball in. On the other hand, Starc was bowling from close to the stumps that's why he getting the shape inside against right-hand batsmen,” he said during his commentary stint in the Pakistan-Australia clash.
