Former Indian all-rounder and member of the World Cup winning squad on two occasions, Yuvraj Singh has bid farewell to international cricket after representing India for more than 16 years.
Yuvraj played a crucial part in making India the world champions in 2011 as he was also awarded with the man of the tournament trophy at the end of the event for his match-winning batting and bowling performances.
Former Indian spinner and Yuvraj’s teammate, Harbhajan Singh has hailed his fellow for being a great ambassador of Indian cricket for so long as he even went on to say that India would not have won the World Cup had it not been for Yuvraj’s brilliance.
“We wouldn’t have won the 2011 World Cup without him. Winning two World Cups has been his biggest gift to India. Whenever I meet him, I always thank him for getting us those moments, medals which wouldn’t have been possible without him,” he said.
