West Indies’ pace bowler Sheldon Cottrell has been the highlight of the fearsome Caribbean bowling attack, with his tight lines and length. Moreover, Cottrell has captured the imagination of the cricketing world with his animated celebratory salute each time he dismisses a batsman.
While Cottrell’s celebration has been adored by plenty of people, England coach Trevor Bayliss is not too impressed. Bayliss, who took over in the aftermath of England’s disastrous 2015 World Cup campaign, said Cottrell’s celebration was unneeded and exaggerated at times.
“If you’re older than about 40 years old it pi***s you off. It probably pi***s me off more than anyone else,” the England coach said.
