The Australian cricket team has been on a roll under the captaincy of Aaron Finch as they have produced results despite all odds against some of the top sides in the world. Their good run has continued in the World Cup as well as they have won 3 out of 4 games up till now.
The team seems to have found its lost glory after having a rough couple of months at the start of Finch’s tenure last year. He has been leading the side from the front since then by scoring runs consistently at the top of the order.
Former English skipper Michael Vaughan has praised the captaincy of Finch in the ongoing tournament as he called him the best leader in all matches so far. He especially mentioned Finch’s maneuvering of bowlers and fielders which helped them squeeze the Pakistan side in their recent fixture.
“He got a lot of things right in the field in terms of squeezing at the right time, putting the catches in at the right time and then spreading them out when a partnership started to develop. I thought he was outstanding as a captain. I can't see how they won't be in the semi-finals,” he said.
