Considering Shikhar Dhawan’s spectacular record in England and ICC events, the injury of India’s audacious opening batsman came as a major shock to their journey in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament. Despite this, India seems to contain immense strength in their batting stocks.
However, skipper Virat Kohli has recently expressed his wish to see his gun player recuperating and donning the blue jersey as soon as possible. Sharing his take on Dhawan’s injury, the run machine added that the team management will assess the condition of the 33-year old after 10 to 12 days. Kohli revealed that Dhawan is yearning to get back on field which is the right kind of mindset as it might aid him in healing soon.
“Dhawan is going to be in a plaster for a couple of weeks. After that we will assess where he stands. Hopefully, the injury heals quickly and he will be available for the remaining half of our league games and semi-finals for sure. He really wants to play,” revealed by Kohli as shared his views on Dhawan’s injury.
