Ahead of the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan match in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, Ehsan Mani has made a bold statement regarding bilateral ties between the two countries, stating that they will “not beg” India to play cricket with them.
Mani hopes for the resumption of bilateral cricket ties between India and Pakistan but in a decent and dignified manner. Indo-Pak cricket has been missing from the cricketing calendar, with the last bilateral series between the two nations taking place back in the 2012-13 season.
“We will not beg India or any other country to play cricket with us; we want resumption of bilateral cricket ties with India in a decent and dignified manner,” said Mani. Moreover, he also confirmed that the Pakistan women’s team will tour India in November this year to play matches of the ICC women championship.
