Bangladesh started their journey in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament with a historic win against South Africa. However, they were defeated in their next two games by New Zealand and England and experienced a wash-out against Sri Lanka which dented their campaign.
With plenty of cricket still left to be played in this tournament, there’s no way to rule them out of competition. However, opening batsman Tamim Iqbal isn’t ready to think too far ahead as he feels that this would only disturb their mindset. The stylish batsman also relished the long gap for the team as it allowed them to revisit and rejig their strategies.
Reflecting on the ongoing cricket gala in England and Wales, the 30-year old added that his unit needs to take one game at a time and only think about winning all the contests. Moreover, the Chittagong born wants his team not to lose self-belief as he termed it as key in high pressure games. It remains to be seen how Bangladesh counters the pressure as they aim to get into the semi-finals of the competition.
