The Bengal Tigers registered an emphatic victory in their last night’s World Cup clash against the unpredictable West Indies side.
After conceding 321 runs to West Indies, it was all down to the experience and calmness of the spirited Bangladesh batting line-up.
However, the experienced batting line-up responded magnificently as their senior pro Shakib Al Hasan once again carried the burden on his shoulders and scored another World Cup century.
He was equally supported by an aggressive right-handed batsman who goes by the name of Litton Das. Das scored 94* and finished the match along with Shakib Al Hasan who scored 124* off 99 balls.
Tamim Iqbal (48) was the architect at the start of the innings but he was unfortunately run out courtesy a herculean effort by Sheldon Cottrell off his own bowling.
