India’s leg-spinner, Kuldeep Yadav was back at his usual best against Pakistan in a high-voltage match. Kuldeep produced a ball of the World Cup to bowl Babar Azam that turned the game well and truly one way.
Babar Azam, who is regarded as Pakistan’s best batsman, had no clue of the perfect leg-break from Kuldeep. Yadav got Azam bowled through the gate the ball nipping in between bat and pad for 48 to end a 104-run second wicket stand involving Fakhar Zaman, who top scored with 62.
Talking about his magical delivery to Babar, Kuldeep terms this best delivery of his tournament so far. "Getting Babar Azam out was the best delivery for me in this tournament. I got him out in the Asia Cup as well," he said.
"It's a proper dream delivery and a proper Test delivery. Deceiving the batsman in the air and making him commit the mistake. A perfect delivery," Kuldeep added.
This is the second time that Babar has been deceived by a good delivery by Kuldeep. Last year, in the Asia Cup also he failed to pick the googly off Kuldeep’s end and played the wrong line. For someone like Babar, on whom Pakistan depends too much in the middle order, he has got to be better in picking spinners off their hands for greater success.
