Bangladesh was a class apart when they took on the Windies on 17th June at Taunton. Windies, while batting first, put up a total of 321 runs. In reply, Bangladesh chased a record total of 322 runs courtesy brilliance from Shakib-ul Hassan and Liton Das' blitz.
It is the 2nd highest chase in the history of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Bangladesh also chased a similar total against Scotland in 2015 Cricket World Cup at Nelson.
Bangladesh has proved that they cannot be taken for granted in this year's World Cup. They have been a competitive side in the last couple of years as well. Bangladesh's batting has also improved significantly and they have the ability to outplay any opposition in this year's world cup.
