England’s captain Eoin Morgan went out to bat against Afghanistan earlier today and nobody would have thought that the skipper would absolutely roll over the Afghanistan bowling line-up.
The stylish left-handed batsman went all guns blazing right from the word go as he reached his hundred off just 57 balls which is the fourth fastest in the history of ICC World Cups.
Morgan hit 17 sixes in his 148 runs and he just took 71 balls to do so. England reached 397-6 in their 50 overs and Eoin Morgan stood out with his magnificent ton.
Joe Root also chipped in with handy 88 whilst Jonny Bairstow provided the start with his belligerent 90 runs off 99 balls.
