On the eve of the clash between Afghanistan and England at Old Trafford, some members of the Afghanistan squad were involved in an altercation at the restaurant, after which the Manchester Police summoned to clear the situation.
The incident occurred on Liverpool Road where some of the Afghan players objected to an individual filming them leading into a heated row. Soon enough, police arrived to settle down the issue and made a statement later that no injuries took place nor were any arrests made.
Afghanistan skipper Gulbadin Naib refused to comment on the incident in the post-match press conference. He told reporters to direct their questions towards the team’s security official since he had not been present during the quarrel at the restaurant.
