Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani has made a special telephone call to the team’s skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and urged him and his troops to focus on the remaining games. According to sources, Mani has told Sarfaraz to not pay attention to all the negativity being spread in the media regarding the players and instead just give their best on the field.
Pakistan still has an outside chance of making it to the semi-finals despite gathering just 3 points in five games in the World Cup. They will have to win all their upcoming matches and hope other results go in their favour.
The board chairman hence reminded Sarfaraz that all was not lost and they still fulfill the expectations of the masses supporting the team back home. “Let's focus on delivering good performances in these four upcoming matches,” the gist of Mani’s message to Sarfaraz was.
