Mickey Arthur inspires team with ‘cornered tigers’ spirit

The Pakistan cricket team been the most disappointing side in this year’s ICC Cricket World Cup so far as it has played some irresponsible cricket in a tournament which demands top notch effort from all players of a team.

Head coach Mickey Arthur has said that he wants the green shirts to not lose hope and come back strong by remembering the ‘cornered tigers’ spirit which helped Pakistan triumph in the 1992 Cricket World Cup.

“We can't change the past but can influence the future and I will definitely remind my players of the spirit of 'cornered tigers. I will look to inspire this team. I will be doing everything I can and using all my experience to make this happen,” he said.

The cornered tigers spirit takes inspiration from former captain Imran Khan who wore a shirt depicting tigers at the toss of the World Cup final in 1992 where he said that he wanted his team to be fight like tigers after their remarkable turn-around in the tournament.
