Pakistan cricket team has been under scrutiny ever since their 89-run (DLS) defeat to India in the ICC World Cup 2019 encounter on Sunday. The players are at the receiving end of abuse and trolling from angry fans on social media.
Amidst the huge criticism after their defeat to rivals India, fast-bowler, Mohammad Amir has requested the fans not to use “bad words” and keep families out of criticism. Amir has pledged that Pakistan will bounce back in the next games and they need prayers from their supporters.
Earlier, the Pakistan cricket team was accused of breaking the 'night curfew' before the India encounter as some videos of the team partying in a restaurant went viral on social media. It was later clarified that the videos and photos that surfaced online were from June 13 and not June 15.
Pakistan’s next match is against South Africa on June 23. With just one win from five games, the team is currently lying second to last in the points table.
