Ramiz Raja reckons seniority is hurting Pakistan

Former Pakistan player and now commentator, Ramiz Raja has chastised Pakistan’s performance against India and has called to completely revamp Pakistan cricket. India’s victory extended their unbeaten streak against Pakistan as they have now won all seven of their meetings against their arch-rivals in the World Cup.

“Every defeat is followed by introspection and opportunity. Every defeat needs change. I feel that time has come when Pakistan cricket should be completely revamped. Your World Cup ends when you lose to India. And if you lose after such a no-show, then your fans will be angry with. Your system, captaincy and skills will be challenged,” Ramiz said.

Ramiz also believes that it is now time to get rid of some of the senior players as they have been holding the team back and bring fresh blood into the team. “This should have been done much earlier as I believe with two [players] of 38 [year-old] you can never win the World Cup,” he added.
