Pakistan’s journey in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 tournament was far from ideal as the boys in green were knocked by Australia in the quarter-final game. Even in the contests before that match, the green team produced shoddy displays under the coaching of former Pakistan paceman Waqar Younis who resigned in 2016.
Recently, the 47-year old recalled his words from the same year as he talked about improving the state of Pakistan Cricket. Sharing his views on his Twitter handle, the toe crusher mocked people who failed to take him seriously as cricket team’s state is again in focus after a disappointing journey so far in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 event.
The cricketer turned commentator also lashed out at the national team for making silly mistakes and letting go of advantageous positions. While the start hasn’t been an ideal one, Pakistan is one team which is known for pulling historical comebacks in major tournaments. However, for that to happen, the boys in green will have to put their best game forward.
