West Indies started their journey in the ICC Cricket World Cup tournament in an impressive manner and looked a team on mission. After that, three losses and a washed-out game has seriously dented their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals of the competition.
However, captain Jason Holder seems to be in no mood of giving up as he urged his unit to bring their best game forward and claim victory in their remaining fixtures. The 27-year old admitted the reliance on other teams but he added that they should be able to win their contests as they are under their control. Moreover, the Barbados born is hopeful of making the cut as far as final-four stage is concerned.
“It’s looking tough at the moment, but it’s not impossible. We have to play every game now as a final. We will have to win all our remaining games to give ourselves a really good chance. It’s obviously a little bit down to other teams but we need to do well with what we have in our hands,” said by Jason Holder as he shared his confidence despite a heavy defeat against Bangladesh.
