New Zealand won their all-important World Cup clash against the spirited South African side and they remain unbeaten in the tournament along with India.
After restricting South Africa to just 241-6 in 49 overs, the lower order of New Zealand did everything to cross the line and the significant contribution came from the all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme.
Colin first took the important wicket of Aiden Markram and gave away just 33 runs in his 10 overs. Later, he founded a marathon partnership with the captain Kane Williamson to take the Kiwis over the line.
Colin smashed 60 runs off just 47 balls with 5 fours and 2 gigantic sixes. Kane’s knock must have overshadowed de Grandhomme’s contribution but the all-rounder played a pivotal role in New Zealand’s victory.
