The Pakistani bowling lineup has been under the pump in the World Cup so far as none of the bowlers has bowled well bowling friendly conditions except for Mohammad Amir who is among the leading wicket-takers in the tournament.
The pacer recently registered the best bowling performance of his ODI career against Australia, taking 5 wickets for just 30 runs. However, the performance of the pacer has been questioned by former Test cricketer Rashid Latif who feels that Amir’s performances of are of no use for team Pakistan as they have all come in losing causes.
“Muhammad Aamir is no doubt taking wickets, but what is the benefit for Pakistan team, when he is not providing wickets upfront,” he said.
Moreover, he has also advised the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to pay heed to the grass root level cricket in the country as all problems start from there and are eventually translated into the whole system.
