The experienced Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal returned to form against Australia as he scored his first half-century of the tournament.
In the reply of 381, Tamim started confidently against Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins. He played some lovely trademark shots to regain his confidence in this long tournament.
However, the scoreboard pressure got the better of the experienced campaigner as he nicked a straight delivery onto the stumps.
Tamim scored 62 off 74 balls which included 6 boundaries as well. Tamim Iqbal is one of the most experienced players in the side as the veteran has featured in all the ICC World Cup events post 2007. He made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe at Harare in 2007.
He also featured in the ICC World Cup 2007 and played a pivotal role in Bangladesh’s victory over India in that tournament.
