The Australian cricket team has reclaimed the top position on the points table of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 after defeating Bangladesh in a high-scoring game at Trent Bridge on Thursday.
Apart from the Australian openers, who are currently the top 2 run getters in this tournament, Usman Khawaja also played a clinical innings which helped the Aussies in getting to a humungous total of 381.
After watching him bat with such poise and command, former West Indian pacer Ian Bishop said that Khawaja should bat at the top of the batting order with Aaron Finch as he seems more comfortable against the new ball in the powerplay.
“I'd prefer to see Khawaja bat with Finch, have the ability to go in that Powerplay, and then Warner can come in and do an even better job at No. 3,” he said.
