Former Pakistani skipper and chief-selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has been with the squad in the United Kingdom (UK) since the start of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as he has been assisting the team in preparing for the lengthy tournament.
However, questions are being raised regarding Inzamam’s stay with the team as many feel that the chief selector is complicating things for the think tank especially the captain. Former World Cup winning coach Intikhab Alam has also questioned Inzamam’s stay as he called it a major mistake from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
“So what is the role of Inzamam-ul-Haq there and why has the PCB allowed him to go on official visit and interfere. It seems that the team management has totally failed to make a comprehensive plan for the World Cup,” he said.
Furthermore, Alam also slammed the management for not doing adequate homework and planning prior to every game which has facilitated the downfall of the green shirts in the all-important tournament.
