Ajay Jadeja reflects on Pakistan team’s woes

Pakistan’s troubles in International cricket isn’t a new phenomenon and their struggle in the ICC Cricket World Cup tournament 2019 is a mere reflection of a weak domestic structure which fails to produce quality cricketers. Recently, the green team has experienced a downward spiral where they rely on rare victories to make up for a list of blunders.

The lackluster displays have even moved former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja to share his thoughts as he called for an end to obsession with numbers. Discussing Pakistan’s great past in cricket surrounded by their recent woes, the 48-year old added that the boys in green will have to play a fearless brand of cricket to defeat top teams consistently.

The Gujrat born also discussed Pakistan’s loss against India in Manchester where he slammed Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam for playing defensively and letting required rate swell. In addition to that, Ajay believes that despite having batters with fantastic record, Pakistan has a dearth of match winners which limits their ability to tackle perilous positions.
