New Zealand and South Africa were involved in a nail-biting encounter at the Birmingham cricket ground and the Kiwis were taken home by their skipper Kane Williamson who played a genuine and a responsible innings. The conditions were difficult for batting at first, South Africa hardly managed to take their score to 241.
South Africa created a few problems for New Zealand at the start but the prowess of the Kiwi skipper was enough to seal the game for New Zealand.
However, the last over finish by Kane earned him a lot of praise and the former captain of Pakistan Shahid Afridi also praised the match-winning ability of Kane Williamson.
Calling him a genuine match-winner, Shahid Afridi also asked the youngsters to learn from the Kiwi captain as he’s becoming a role model for everyone.
